The Fairmont Scottsdale
A notable evening finish to a corporate conference, the Al Fresco Concert with a national recording artist headliner proved to be one of the most creative events we were a part of all year. Beyond assisting with labor and logistics for the set and strike of the event, Tri-Rentals also provided an assortment of rental items. Tri-Rentals sourced and managed the delivery and construction of very tall and long hay bale walls to ensure privacy. We also designed specialty furniture which was constructed on site. A total of 740 black Chiavari chairs were dressed with specialty pads and caps along with a large dance floor and custom Iris Topaz scrims.
Research was “key” to the success of this event. The clients design encompassed the natural surroundings and yet created an oasis in the desert. A relaxed environment arose without sacrificing the quality note that had been building up throughout the previous events this group had been a part of at their stay at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort.
After walls were erected and sod was laid, numerous fire extinguishers were distributed throughout this temporary venue to ensure safety remained a priority. Specialty material was brought in to create the cool, breezy Iris Topaz scrims which provided a “Relax. You haven’t a care in the world!” atmosphere.
Undaunted by the design challenges placed before us, Tri-Rentals was able to make every one of the client’s visions come to life in a very unlikely spot which was nothing more than a large plain dirt lot west of the resort.
